Although this award has existed for decades, the winning projects are not well-known to North Americans, particularly students of architecture, landscape, and urbanism, who could learn from their examples. Taken individually and seen together, these works provide remarkable precedents for tackling global challenges.
We have organized this symposium and website to highlight the work of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture program to our Daniels Faculty community and to the world at large. It is our hope that these initiatives will be a source of discovery and inspiration leading to projects that improve communities around the world and enable a better future for our planet.
